Benedetto Bufalino – Artists – Weltkulturerbe Völklinger Hütte

For this project, Bufalino transformed a row of old cars into a group of standing figures, giving them a new life and presence in the industrial landscape of the former ironworks site. The installation blurs the lines between art and everyday objects, inviting viewers to reconsider their surroundings and see the potential for creativity in unexpected places.

Bufalino’s work often explores themes of urbanism, transformation, and the intersection of art and everyday life. By repurposing familiar objects in new and surprising ways, he challenges viewers to see the world around them with fresh eyes and find beauty in the seemingly mundane.
